Marine Mechanical Engineer or Technologist

We are in search of a mechanical engineer or technologist to join our firm of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers. You will be responsible for the design and/or coordination of a wide range of shipboard mechanical systems, including propulsion shafting, system piping, HVAC, etc. You will also liaise with sub-consultants to manage the electrical design of a vessel. You will take direction from the Senior Marine Mechanical Engineer. The candidate will require sound project management skills and the ability to work independently.

You will be joining a small firm so you must also be prepared to participate in other aspects of the company’s business, including stability calculations, inclining experiments, general arrangement design, barge inspections, ship surveys, structural design and detailing, FE analysis, etc. You will be required to produce AutoCAD drawings.
