KLONDYKE Ferry Refit and Shore Approach Improvements (Alberta Infrastructure and Transportation)

In 2007, CMDL provided design project management services to Robert Allan Ltd. and Alberta Infrastructure and Transportation for the vessel refit and installation of concrete shore approaches planned for the KLONDYKE Ferry at the Athabasca River crossing near Barrhead, Alberta. The KLONDYKE ferry is a cable ferry using an aerial cable system. The ferry requires partial hull replacement and general refit. Installation of concrete shore approaches, riprap, and steel docking wedges are new improvements planned to enhance service reliability and reduce wear and tear on the ferry hull.
