Chris is a Professional Engineer registered in British Columbia and holds both an undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering (naval architecture option) from the University of British Columbia and a masters degree in marine technology from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne in the United Kingdom. He has been working in the marine industry since 1988 including participation in a graduate training program with Brown & Root, U.K. in the offshore oil and gas industry during the early 1990s. Chris’s time with Brown and Root included secondments to steel jacket fabricators RGC Offshore in Scotland, marine pipelayers and offshore construction contractors European Marine Contractors in the Netherlands, and the design team for the Hibernia oil platform off Newfoundland, Canada.His time overseas was then followed by 13 years of design experience working for Robert Allan Ltd. in Vancouver, BC.
